OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

If an electric stove does not turn on, first be sure the appliance is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas appliances. If the oven is plugged in and the pilot light is lit in the oven, it means a different part of the appliance will have to be replaced. The reason for the problem could be an surface element, infinite switch, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that does not heat won’t do much good. An oven doesn’t heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. Your burner doesn’t turn on if an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We can troubleshoot and repair these issues in less than 1-2 hours after an appointment begins.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

It’s reasonable to assume the control board on an oven is broken if the program or timer functions are not working. In this case, we can replace control boards for GE, LG, Sears, KitchenAid, Kenmore and many other brands and models of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You always need a hot oven. Although not too hot! If the oven heat is too hot, it could be because of an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our technicians are able to find the reason for the issue and repair it. Be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of body burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is times where an igniter will glow but it won’t light. The reason this occurs is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we are able to fix these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens sometimes have door issues. The door doesn’t open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door won’t open and then we complete the repair in order to put an end to the issue.
